About Oct 2019 I started to get a feeling in my throat. It felt like something was stuck in my throat. I would have periods where my heart would start beating really fast. It felt like my heart was going to beat right out of my chest.
I also had difficulty breathing. I remember getting up and sitting at the table and I couldn’t sit there for long until I had to go lay back down. Laying down was the only way I could breath right. I also had a feeling that my throat was tightening. It felt like my sweater was so tight, when it wasn’t even touching my throat.
At first I kept telling myself it will go away. But it didn’t and it got to the point where it was affecting my life. I couldn’t get stuff done. I had no energy and it was just very uncomfortable.
Finally I had enough & went to the emergency room. They diagnosed me with Esophagitis.
What is Esophagitis? Inflammation that damages the tube running from the throat to the stomach (esophagus). Causes include stomach acids backing up into the tube, infection, some medications, and allergies.
The doctor put me on some medication & it didn't seem to help much. I went back to the doctor and he decided i needed to get a scope done. Where they put a camera down my throat and see what is going on.
The conclusion of the scope was that i had Mild Esophagitis, hiatel hernia and vocal cord anomaly.
After getting the scope done the symptoms i was having went away and i started getting two new symptoms that i had never had before. I started getting pain in my left breast and burning in my upper back. It was so uncomfortable. I got really depressed and started Crying because it was so bad.
I finally realized that being depressed and crying over it was not going to do any good. So i started doing some research. I found a you tube video that really helped. I started doing this video every morning & it has helped so much! I also have changed my diet & All my symptoms have gone away.
I have a follow up appointment with Ear,Nose & throat specialist & Will be updating this journey.
This post is my journey and what may have worked for me might not work for someone else. Stay positive! Everything will be alright.
I will be sharing more about what i eat and what i don't eat as well as some recipes later this week.
